Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said the Telangana government is firm in ensuring that the programs launched by the government do not remain mere entries on paper but “bring about a tangible and distinct transformation in people’s lives”.
Therefore, the government launched the 99-day Prajapati Palana – Pragati Pranalika from March 6 to reach out to the people, Mr. Reddy said, adding that it was launched with the coordination of all government departments from village to state level.
Every government official is tasked to work to solve the problems faced at the local level in every village and start expeditious disposal of files, cleanliness in all government offices and transparency in all decision-making processes, the Chief Minister said in a public statement.
As part of the programme, Grama Sabhas were held across the state on Thursday (April 2, 2026).
Mr. Reddy recalled that it had been two years and three months since the people’s government had assumed office and had worked hard without compromise for the development and welfare of all sections of the people by overcoming financial problems and correcting the mistakes of the previous government.
Guided by the ethos that “we are not rulers but servants”, the government sought to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
Mr. Reddy said that in every decision taken by the government, the welfare of the people, social responsibility and the future of the state were given top priority. He claimed that the consecutive victories in the by-elections, panchayat elections and municipal elections are proof of people’s approval and support for the performance of the government.
“The people’s mandate has deepened our sense of responsibility,” he said.
Mahalakshmi scheme benefits like free bus travel, gas cylinders for just ₹500, up to 200 units of free electricity, Aarogyasri, ration cards, fine rice, Indiramma housing and women empowerment scheme should reach all eligible beneficiaries, Mr. Reddy said. He added that the determination of the state government was to position Telangana, the youngest state, as the number one state in the entire world, not only economically but across all sectors.
People should become partners in fulfilling the government’s commitment and the state should become a global benchmark in services, manufacturing and agriculture as envisioned under CURE, PURE and RARE, he said.
“This 99-day action plan is a solemn promise and the four million people of Telangana must unite as one to set a shining example for the nation and the world,” he said.
