KK Rema, a candidate of the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India-backed United Democratic Front in the Vadakara Assembly constituency, has filed a petition with the District Superintendent of Police (Kozhikode Rural), alleging that her political rivals have tried to spread obscene posters and videos created with the help of artificial intelligence tools on social media.
In her petition, she alleged that there was a “deliberate effort” to tarnish her political and personal image through post-election morphed photos and posters.
She also said that even fake social media profiles have been used for smear and insult campaigns.
