BJP president Nitin Nabin on Saturday (June 6, 2026) said that some forces were trying to push the country’s youth towards “negative politics”.
In an apparent reference to Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke, he said, “Some people sitting abroad assume that they can give instructions to the youth of India.” “The youth of today want to work for nation building and secure their future. But some forces are trying to make the youth of the country anti-establishment,” Mr. Nabin said during an interaction with intellectuals in Ranchi.
The BJP president is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand during which he is expected to attend several party events and organizational meetings.
“Those who want to push the youth of this country towards negative politics, I warn them that the youth of India will choose positive politics,” Mr Nabin said.
People have the right to protest, but within democratic norms, he said.
He said the country’s youth are known for innovation and creativity.
“Due to their determination, hard work and efforts, around two million startups have emerged. The country’s goal is to become a global IT hub,” said Mr. Nabin.
“The anti-establishment campaigns we have witnessed in our neighboring countries can never be for the youth of the country who will work with discipline for nation building,” he said.
Some people sitting abroad think they can give direction to Indian youth, but the youth will not become a puppet in the hands of a few, the BJP chief said.
He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working on the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
There have been drastic changes during the last 12 years of the Modi government, he said.
“More than 25 million people have been lifted out of poverty and 80 million people are being provided with 5 kg of free ration,” Mr Nabin said.
In the last 12 years, around 54 million Jan Dhan accounts have been opened, three million women have become ‘Lakhpati Didis’, 10 million families have been linked to self-help groups, 12 million toilets have been built, four million houses have been provided under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 10 million people have been provided under BJwalaj told LPG.
Mr. Nabin said that India will soon become a hub for artificial intelligence and manufacturing.
The party has pledged to provide 33% reservation to women, he added.
Mr. Nabin said that the Center was making efforts for the development of Jharkhand.
