Social Security recipients in the US can expect a normal payment schedule for June, with most payments due starting June 10.
Social Security benefits are paid to millions of beneficiaries who are old or retired. More than 75 million American citizens rely on these payments each month, with Social Security Administration (SSA) benefits serving as a financial backbone for recipients, including disabled workers, retirees, low-income seniors, and survivors.

Social Security payments are usually paid on Wednesdays. According to the Social Security Administration’s calendar, if your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, the payment is scheduled for the second Wednesday of the month (for June, that’s June 10).

If you were born between the 11th and 20th according to the calendar, you will be paid on the third Wednesday of the month (June 17); those born after the 20th are paid on the fourth Wednesday of the month (June 24).
Additionally, beneficiaries who began receiving payments before May 1997 are scheduled to be paid on June 3.
The check you receive in June is technically your Social Security retirement benefits for May, while your June benefits are covered by the July check, according to the SSA.
Those who receive both Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) typically receive their SSI payment on the first of the month and their Social Security payment on the third.

What is the SSI program and its repayment schedule for June?
SSI is a program that benefits people with limited or no income or resources, people age 65 or older, and those who are blind or have a disability. Children with qualifying disabilities are also eligible for SSI payments, according to the Social Security Administration website.
SSI recipients usually receive benefits on the first business day of the month – June, which is June 1st. Sometimes beneficiaries receive two payments in a single month; this can happen when the first business day of the following month (for example, August) falls on a weekend or holiday, moving the payment for that month to the previous month (July).

Social Security payment calendar for June and the rest of 2026
June: Social Security payments will be made for the first time on June 3rd, with further payments scheduled for June 10th, June 17th and June 24th based on your date of birth.
July: On July 2, 2026, Social Security payments will be issued early due to the July 3 adjustment, with other payments scheduled for July 8, July 15, and July 22.
August: On 3 August 2026, payments will be made to early beneficiaries, then on 12 August, 19 August and 26 August for other groups of beneficiaries.
September: Social Security payments for September will be paid to early recipients on September 3rd, with additional payments scheduled for September 9th, September 16th and September 23rd.
October: On October 2nd, payments will be made earlier because October 3rd is a weekend, then October 14th, October 21st and October 28th.
November: Payments will be made on November 3rd with additional payments on November 10th, November 18th and November 25th.
December: On December 3, 2026, Social Security payments will be sent, and then on December 9, December 16, and December 23 for the remaining recipients.
