The Secunderabad Cantonment Board (SCB) has completed distribution of census forms to all voters under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, with around 18% data digitized so far, SCB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Arvind Kumar Dwivedi said.
Mr. Dwivedi chaired an all-party meeting at the camp’s office of the Electoral Returning Officer on Monday (July 13, 2026) to review the progress of the SIR exercise and address the issues raised during the review process. The meeting was also attended by representatives of important political parties.
“The meeting was held to discuss any issues related to the special intensive review. We explained the challenges from our side and any concerns that were raised were addressed. The political parties were also asked to extend cooperation to ensure smooth completion of the exercise,” he said.
According to the CEO, the canton has roughly 2.45 to 2.48 million voters.
Mr. Dwivedi said distribution of enumeration forms has been completed in all households. During the exercise, forms relating to voters who had changed residence or died were identified and removed from the active collection process in accordance with the review guidelines. “The distribution work is 100% complete. We are now in the phase of collection of forms and simultaneous digitization of data. As on July 13, around 18% digitization has been completed,” he said.
Meanwhile, Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sri Ganesh, who attended the all-party meeting, said the representatives highlighted the problems encountered at the ground level during the SIR exercise and the difficulties faced by the voters. They also proposed measures to address these issues and urged officials to ensure that the review process is conducted in a transparent, accessible and fair manner.
Mr. Ganesh also asked the officials to immediately release the pending dues of the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) who are engaged in election related duties in the cantonment and said they should receive their payments without further delay.
