Reacting to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, Shweta Tiwari asked when the CJP would demand the Punjab Education Minister’s resignation, indicating the need for wider accountability.

Many social media users slammed Shweta Tiwari’s comments as a veiled attack on the CJP, suggesting that she should not lead every protest, especially against the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab.

“Please take the initiative and start a hunger strike. We are all with you. If you can’t do anything, shut up,” another user wrote.

“They took initiative for 21 dead students and served justice. You make reels and do brand promotion. Maybe protest. Students are not robots. They just took a break,” chimed in another.

“Please start a hunger strike madam. We are with you! Take your daughter and get to Punjab,” came another dry comment.

Another user commented, “You are leading us dear madam. If you go on hunger strike, we will be with you. I did not go to Jantar Mantar. But if you go on hunger strike, I will go personally and stand beside you.”

“FYI: Since last week, students in Punjab have been protesting against paper leaks and cheating in Govt. Exams. Her daughter has been posting in favor of CJP for the last week!” another user wrote.

Bollywood reacts to Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation

Bollywood overwhelmingly celebrated Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation as Education Minister. Many called it a historic victory for students and democracy. This happened after nationwide protests and a 26-day hunger strike by Sonam Wangchuk.

Alia Bhatt and Sonakshi Sinha praised the courage and impact of Gen Z. Shabana Azmi called it a “first step” that needs further reform. Prakash Raj praised the youth and Wangchuk for putting pressure on the government.
