A local court in Meghalaya’s capital Shillong has granted bail to Sonam Raghuvanshi, the main accused in the May 2025 murder of her businessman-husband Raj Raghuvanshi.
In her order on Monday (April 27, 2026), Additional Deputy Commissioner (Judicial) DR Kharbteng said the accused was entitled to be granted bail as she was not clearly informed of the “facts constituting the reason for her arrest” in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. The order was made available on Tuesday, April 28 (April 26).
