Shiksha schools organize an annual sports meet

The 26th annual sports meet of Shiksha Kendra Matriculation Higher Secondary School and Shiksha Greenwoods School was held at its campus in Pallikonda town of Vellore.

According to a press release, Olympian V. Devarajan, who was the chief guest, highlighted the importance of sports in developing discipline, teamwork and leadership skills and emphasized the need for students to prepare themselves to become global citizens capable of competing on an international platform. He urged parents to provide ample opportunities for their children to participate in sports and extra-curricular activities, thereby promoting all-round growth along with academic achievement.

Vivekananda House secured the shield for March, Mother Teresa House received the Discipline Shield and Mahaveer House proudly lifted the overall championship trophy.

The event was presided over by PNS Thirunavukkarasu, Chairman, Shiksha Schools, in the presence of T. Vijaya Thirunavukkarasu, Vice-Chairman, T. Kugan, Correspondent, and K. Saranya Kugan, Principal of the school, a report said.
