SFI claims police revenge after leaders handcuffed in court

The Students Federation of India (SFI) on Friday (September 11, 2026) slammed the police for allegedly handcuffing two of its leaders when they were produced before the Vanchiyoor District Court.

SFÚ central committee member SK Adarsh ​​​​and district secretariat member Manesh were produced in court in handcuffs in connection with cases related to the recent secretariat march.

SFÚ leadership claimed that the police action was against the instructions of the state police chief and questioned the need to handcuff the two student leaders.

SFI state secretary PS Sanjeev claimed that the arrest was part of a wider attempt by the state government and the police to target the organization ahead of the elections to colleges, universities, polytechnics and school unions.
