Ahead of the second and final phase of assembly elections in West Bengal on Wednesday (April 29, 2026), the Election Commission on Monday (April 27, 2026) said the total seizure of illegal incentives in the state has crossed ₹510 crore.
The amount is higher than the ₹339 crore seized during the 2021 Assembly elections and also exceeds the amount raised in the state during the 2024 Lok Sabha, a senior official said.
