Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 135th episode of “Mann Ki Baat” on Sunday where he urged citizens to conserve every drop of rainwater. Appreciating the efforts of thousands of rural women to protect the endangered ‘Hargila’ bird species, he also urged people to choose clay idols over Plaster of Paris (PoP) products to celebrate Ganesh Utsav.
- Elaborating on the important moments for the Indian Navy, he added, “Recently, I got an opportunity to attend a Navy-related program in Kolkata. There, INS Dunagiri, INS Shanshak and INS Agrya were inducted into the Indian Navy fleet. Everything from the design to the manufacturing of these ships is original.”
- PM Modi also touched upon Nalanda University’s revival of the ancient tradition of ‘Shastrarth’ and said, “From this Shastrarth process also comes the practice of patiently listening and understanding the thoughts of others. I am glad that Nalanda University has made this a part of its convocation ceremony.”
- Awarded B.Tech Program in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Central Sanskrit University. PM Modi said the course will prepare the youth for new age technology while keeping them rooted in their heritage. According to him, the move will “facilitate the development of new AI tools for Indian languages and speed up the digitization and preservation of our ancient texts and manuscripts”.
