‘Sanjeevani’ will be launched across the state in August, says Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said the state government’s flagship programme, Sanjeevani, an integrated digital system to improve healthcare delivery, will be rolled out across the state from August.

Speaking at the ‘Sanjeevani’ program held at Aspari in Alur Assembly constituency, Mr. Naidu explained the unique features of the project, which would integrate technology to protect public health.

Under the scheme, a digital health profile would be created for each individual and ABHA health cards would be issued to all family members, the Chief Minister said. Comprehensive health data, from primary health centers to the state level, would be integrated into a single platform, he said.

Services related to non-communicable diseases, maternal and child health, child health screenings, ‘108’ emergency services, ‘104’ mobile medical units, e-Aushadhi and laboratory services will all be integrated into the system, he said, adding that AI-based medical assistance, telemedicine, remote care, predictive analytics and digital nerve centers will be incorporated to meet the needs of the future.

“Through the Sanjeevani Citizen Wellness App, people can book doctor appointments and access their health records anytime,” said the Chief Minister.

Advising people to adopt healthy habits and a healthy lifestyle, Mr. Naidu said, “The government is working towards the goal of healthy families, healthy villages and a healthy Andhra Pradesh. Public health and welfare are given equal priority,” he added.

“Financial security is being provided to the poor through pension payments on the first of every month and farmers are getting ₹20,000 as assistance through the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme,” the chief minister said. He also outlined various initiatives being implemented like student empowerment through Thalliki Vandanam, women empowerment through Stree Shakti, LPG cylinders through Deepam 2.0 and providing solar power to every household.

Criticizing the previous YSRCP government for creating chaos in land records and causing disputes, Mr Naidu said all land records are now secured using blockchain technology. Mr. Naidu announced that pattadar passbooks were distributed on the 9th of every month to protect people’s property and that the land survey would be completed by March next year. Arrangements were being made to start production at Kadapa Steel Plant by 2028, he added.

Companies like Hero Motors, LG and Dalmia were coming to the state and Rayalaseema would develop into a horticultural and industrial hub with public and private investment of ₹1 lakh crore, Mr Naidu said, expressing happiness that the hub would clear the Kurnool-Bellary railway line.
