A few days ago, the government launched a housing program within the city limits and invited people to apply. Of the one lakh houses to be built under CURE limits, 7,680 flats would be built in residential towers in 16 assembly constituencies. Each apartment with a built-up area of 528m2 will have a bedroom, kitchen and hall. While the government would provide a subsidy of ₹5 crore, the beneficiaries have to pay ₹6 crore.
Apart from the application fee of ₹100, people have to pay an earnest money deposit (EMD) of ₹10,000 while applying. People can apply through MeeSeva centers, its portal or WhatsApp number 8096958096.
Mr. Reddy said that EMD must be paid through UPI or net banking. It will be refunded if the applicant is not selected in the lottery. The housing minister has suggested people to secure the MeeSeva receipt, payment receipt, application number and keep the mobile number – mentioned in the application – active.
