Badminton champion Saina Nehwal on Saturday advised students and youth to focus on achieving success by improving physical fitness, mental peace and mental strength through hard work.
Speaking at the annual celebrations of SRKR Engineering College in Bhimavaram on Saturday, Ms Nehwal said she was proud and happy to represent India and to be ranked among the top ten badminton players in the world. She said that from a young age she cut down on distractions like movies and other forms of entertainment and focused on fitness and rigorous training to bring success to the country.
“Dedication and consistent effort have played a key role in my achievements,” she said, crediting her parents and coach for guiding and supporting her on her journey. She urged the students to listen to their parents and teachers and pursue their goals with discipline and dedication.
Rajya Sabha member P. Venkata Satyanarayana said that discipline is the key to achieving success in life.
Academy Secretary and Correspondent SR Nishant Varma presided over the programme. Governing Body Member KS Vijayanarasimha Raju, Director KV Murali Krishnam Raju, Director M. Jagapati Raju, Chief Administrative Officer Ch. Dileep Chakravarthi and others attended the event.
