
The French aviation giant Safran plans to establish a new entity that will focus on the maintenance and reworking of Rafale fighter engines, namely M88 engines, a company manager that met Telangana Industries and IT Minister D. Sridhar Babu.
This initiative is expected to create about 150 jobs with the potential by 2026 with the potential to add another 750 positions in the following stages. Safran Aircraft Engine Services India will be the name of the new entity, Safran CEO Pierre Fernandez during the meeting, the Minister of the Office said.
Safran, which has two world -class production facilities in Hyderabad, significantly expands operations in Telangana with a large investment in the city. Safran Hyderabad operations are ready to become a central center for the production and export of critical components for Rafale engines.
The support of the state government was helpful in the location of Hyderabad as a leading aviation center. The Minister said that the upcoming expansion of operations underlines Safran’s strategic focus on India as a key market and its commitment to contribute to the country’s air and defense capabilities.
The MRO announcement comes on the back of the Dassault Aviation and Tata Advanced Systems, which signs four agreements on the production of production to produce fuselage aircraft Rafale in India. Within partnership, Tata Advanced Systems in Hyderabad will create top production equipment for the production of key structural parts of the Rafale, including the side shells of the rear fuselage, the complete rear, the central fuselage and the front.
The first section of the fuselage is expected to introduce from the assembly line in FY2028, and the equipment is expected to deliver up to two complete hulls per month, both companies said at the beginning of this month.
