On Monday (June 30, 2025), three groups of civil society from Manipur were met on Monday (June 30, 2025), where the Peace Plan and the Restoration of the Popular Government were discussed, the government official said.
Manipur was subjected to the President of the President 13 February. The official stated that although the question of the end of the president was discussed, the delegation was not given any warranty.

Group-coordination Committee for Integrity of Manipur (COCOMI), Manipur United Clubs’ (Amuco) and Federation of Civil Society (FOCS), which arrived in the new Delhi, include Meitei and non-meitei members from manipur. The official said it was the first time the groups met on interviews with AK Mishhra, advisor (northeast), the Ministry and the Intelligence Office (IB).
“These three groups took part in the meeting for the first time. There were problems for free movement on highways, security for farmers, negotiations against illegal migrants, relocating internally displaced persons,” the official said.
After the meeting, groups published under the auspices of the Civil Society Organizations, which pushes the “urgent need to ensure free movement for all, and emphasize that this is not only a fundamental right and constitutional commitment of the government, but also the first major step to restore peace in the state”.
The groups also raised the incident on May 20 in Gwaltabi when the security forces allegedly tried to cover the word “manipur” on a state transport bus, which transported journalists to the hilly district of Ukrul at the Shiri Lily festival. They tried to know measures against security officials.

The groups were assured by the Ministry of the Interior that this problem would be launched with the manipur government.
In June, the Ministry officials revived meetings with rebel groups Kuki-ZO or groups in the suspension of operations (SOO) with the government and emphasized the opening of national highways for free movement of vehicles from the Meitei areas and vice versa. National Highways-2 and NH-37, which connect the Imphal inland valley with Nagaland and Assam, critical for the supply of requirements and other commodities, passing through the inhabited areas of Kuk-Zo.
Violence between Kuki-Zo and Meitei, who broke out in the state in May 2023, claimed the lives of 250 people and moved more than 60,000 people from their homes.
