The Kerala High Court on Tuesday allowed the inclusion of two more police officers in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up to probe the alleged embezzlement of gold from the Sabarimala temple.
A bench of Justice Ziyad Rahman AA and Justice MB Snehalatha allowed the inclusion of two officers of the rank of circle inspector in the team on the inquiry team leader’s request for more personnel.
Earlier this month, the court had given the SIT another six weeks to complete its probe into the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Dwarapalaka idols and also from the temple doorframe. The matter was posted for hearing on January 14.
