Remand of all eight accused in Ram Temple donation embezzlement case extended

A special court in Ayodhya on Monday (July 13, 2026) extended the judicial custody of eight accused arrested in the case of alleged embezzlement of donation to the Ram temple by 14 days.

The accused were produced before the court of Additional District Judge Pratibha Narayan through video conferencing and sent to judicial custody till July 27.

On July 10, the prosecution sought remand for two accused — Ramashankar Yadav alias Tinnu Yadav and Subhash Srivastav. The court will rule on the matter on Tuesday (July 14).

The eight accused — Ram Shankar Yadav alias Tinnu, Anukalp Mishra, Avinash Shukla, Karunesh Pandey, Manish Yadav, Lavkush Mishra, Ram Shankar Mishra and Subhash Srivastava — arrested in connection with the alleged embezzlement of donations at the Ram temple were remanded to a local court on June 29.

On June 28, the Ayodhya police conducted simultaneous searches at the residences of all the eight accused as part of the investigation.

The case was adjourned for further hearing on July 27.
