12 districts in AP will get new DMHO

On July 12, the Ministry of Health, Health and Family Welfare issued a government order ordering the transfer and reassignment of ten civilian surgeons for administrative reasons.

The order, signed by Chief Secretary S. Suresh Kumar, facilitates major changes in the post of District Medical Officers and Health Officers (DMHOs).

After approval from Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, new DMHOs have been posted in 12 districts. Based on performance, DMHOs of Anakapalli, Kakinada and Anantapur were transferred to other places. Nine districts including NTR, Parvathipuram Manyam, Srikakulam, Eluru, East Godavari, Krishna, Chittoor, Kadapa, West Godavari have been given new DMHOs.
