In the light of rain and the Indian meteorological department (IMD), which on Monday released a red warning of the Thrissur district, the district collector Arjun Pandian announced a holiday for all educational institutions on the day in the district.
The holiday will apply to all educational institutions, including professional universities, Kendriya Vidyalayas, CBSE and ICSE, Anganwadis, NurSeries, Tuition and Madrasas. It was decided to ensure the safety of students and employees with regard to unfavorable weather conditions.
The district administration explained that preliminary exams and interviews would take place as planned. The authorities urged the public to remain vigilant and follow the updates from official channels as district braces for further deductions.
