Kohli was in an ongoing IPL edition in impressive form. Previously in a match against the Indians in Mumbai (Mi) at the WankHede stadium Kohli became Second fastest dough in memory of 13000 runs in T20s After he reached the milestone in his 386 shifts.

Then, on April 13, in a match against Royals at the Sawai Manshingh stadium in Jaipur, Kohli became only the second man after David Warner hit the 100 fifties in the T20s.

Later in the match against the Pandjab Kings (PBKS) Kohli overtook the exceptional record of David Warner for the most fifty plus scores in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Kohli gathered his 67. Fifty plus IPL scores. He is also all the leading running shooter in the history of the T20 league rich in cash.
