Police of Bengalur City Central and West Division attacked 19 bars and restaurants on Thursday night, where women served food and liqueur contrary to the prescribed standards.
The raids included several bars and restaurants on MG Road, Brigade Road, Ashok Nagar, UPParpet, Kalasipalya, Majestic and around SJ Park.
The raids followed the tip that bars and restaurants that have a license to give women food and liqueur violate dressing and other standards.
After the raid, 15 separate companies were registered for breach of standards. Most of these bars and restaurants had modestly dressed women serving customers violating the rules, the police said. Some even ran dance bars and others were open for a permissible term 1:00.
Mr. Singh said that all devices must strictly observe their license conditions and instructions set by the Karnataka High Court. “Some of these bars and restaurants have reported reports of serious violations and immoral activities, which led us to raid. Strict steps will be taken against all violators,” he said.
In a statement issued on Friday evening, the municipal police said they would pay attention to these facilities and would recommend for canceling their licenses if they were re -detected by breach of standards.
During the raids, several other health breachs and family care and Bruhhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike were found. These violations will be marked and referred to other departments, the officials said.
