The Pavilion of the Public Work Department (PWD) on the EXTE “ENTE KERALAM”, which takes place on the government Vazhatope Vocational High Secondary School in Idukki, shows the progress of road development in the district of Idukki. EXPO imagines the fourth anniversary of the government of the left democratic front (LDF) in the state.
The pavilion, representing models of the main roads and bridges in the district of IDUKKI, gains the attention of visitors.
According to officials, road projects in the district, such as Chemmannar Gap Road, Rajakkad – Myladumpara – Poopara Road and Munnar Gap Road, meet global standards. In addition, bridges below the PWD state, such as Santhi, Enthayar and Mangathotty Bridge, on the same level as global bridges.
Officials said that roads in large centers are mainly focused on views of tourism. Tourist arrivals also increased due to better road conditions.
Munnar-Bodimettu section Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway and Kuttikkanam-Kattappana State Highway in Idukki has already appeared as a destination for tourism in the district of IDUKKI. Scenario of tea plantations, numerous hairpins, foggy weather and the Anayirankal dam is the main attractions of the Munnar-Bodimettu section. On the state highway of the Kathtappana-Kuttikkanama are the main attractions of the tea plantation and the bends of hairpins.
The Minister of Water Resources Rosha Augustine started on Tuesday (April 29, 2025) EXTE “ENTE KERAL”. EXPO will be closed on May 5.
