After returning from Denmark after India’s Uber Cup 2026 campaign, star badminton player PV Sindhu was spotted at the Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders match in the Indian Premier League. Sindhu took part in the Sunday afternoon match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Sindhu was seen spending time with SRH owner Kaviya Maran on the sidelines of the game. The moment quickly went viral on social media in the afternoon as fans shared snippets of their interaction. While it was all smiles off the field, SRH struggled in their home match against Ajinkya Rahane’s KKR team.

SRH have won just 165 runs, their second lowest total in the Indian Premier League this season. Despite a good start from Travis Head, SRH failed to capitalize and faltered after the overs.
Meanwhile, Sindhu returned from Denmark after India’s Uber Cup campaign was cut short in the group stage. She played two matches in the tournament, winning against Denmark’s Line Christophersen and losing to China’s Wang Zhi Yi.
India failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament after finishing third in Group A, which also featured China, Denmark and Ukraine.
IPL 2026: SRH vs KKR
Sindhu’s encouragement from the sidelines was not enough as SRH eventually faltered in the IPL after their five-match winning run. After batting poorly in the first innings of the match, SRH gave away 71 runs in the first 6 overs against KKR, essentially giving up the game.
SRH were placed third in the league table before this match with 12 points from 9 matches. A loss in this match would not affect SRH’s position in the league table much.
A win for KKR, on the other hand, will help them move away from the bottom two spots currently occupied by Mumbai Indians and Lucknow Super Giants.
