In the middle of the ongoing monsoon meeting of the Parliament of Congress on Tuesday (July 22, 2025), he organized a demonstration in the Mantar amber area in Nový Delhi to push the restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir and the inclusion of Ladaku in the sixth plan.
This question would be raised in both houses of parliament during the monsoon meeting, the party said.
The President of the MALLIKARJUN KHARGE Congress and the opposition leader at Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi expanded their full support to 500 J&K congress workers who traveled buses to the capital.
“When Lieutenant Governor himself admits that in the terrorist attack Pahalgam fits serious security, our stand is curved. Unexpected, inexplicable administrators cannot replace the democratically elected government. Jamma & Kashmir deserves his dignity, his voice and his voice.”
Mr. Kharge and Mr. Gandhi later met the leaders and workers from J&K at the headquarters of Indira Bhavan.
“People from Jamm and Kashmir deserve full statehood. It is their constitutional right. We wrote it PM that demanded the same. Modi Govt has a consistent betrayal policy for Jammu & Kashmir,” Mr. Kharge said in a contribution to the X -Social Media platform.
“The terrorist attack of Pahalgam is a grim reminder of intelligence failure. We stand strongly with people J&K and demand adequate replacement and protection, especially those families who have lost their loved ones in cross -border shelling. They are martyrs,” Kharge said.
Congress is fully determined to protect the rights of people J&K, Mr. Gandhi said in a Facebook post.
