Preparations for MaĊĦur Dasar and Vijayadashmi procession gathered the pace with the authorities of the forest department formally subject to Abhimanyu on Wednesday.
Exercise means the beginning of the conditional region in front of the “jamboo Savari” for Abhimanyu, who is entrusted to the transport of 750 kg of the golden Howdah with the idol of the goddess Chamundeshware on the day of the parade, which will take place on October 2.
The representative of the Gowda PraBhu Lesy supervised the drill, during which it was raised and chained to the back of Abhimanyu, which was 500 kg with 13 other elephants, of which 300 kg of sand bags.
In the coming days, several other elephants will undergo men to ensure that they remain ready as emergency if necessary. Elephants and some of the men who are not sufficiently core will not undergo a weight drill.
The aim of the drill is to get elephants accustomed to weights that are gradually increasing over the new few days to correspond to the actual weight of almost 1,000 kg, including the weight of Mahot and other sebums to be performed on the procession day.
Before drilling, a special loan was made for Abhimanyu when he entered the second phase of the training program.
When he escapes to the festival, Abhimanya and several other male elephants, he carries the wooden replica Howdah during the exercise regime. This allows elephants to get used to weight distribution, while Mahout learns to ensure that Howdah remains balanced while Jumbos walks.
The first dose of nine elephants, which came to the palace districts 4. August, went daily along the process route and met the DIN and the noise of the city. The second dose of five elephants joined them during the last August and since then all 14 elephants have participated in the drill.
Veterinary experts monitor their health and elephants receive special food to ensure that they remain suitable for Dasar on the day of the procession.
