Police suspicious foul in the death of a man whose body was reportedly found in a well in Kunjathur near Manjeswaam on Friday morning on April 11).
The deceased was identified as Mohammed Sherif, 52, a native of Kolanad in Mulki, Karnataka and the AutorickShaw driver based in Mangalur. An authorickshaw was found near the well, which Sherif’s relatives later confirmed.
Sherif reportedly disappeared on Wednesday evening (April 9) and his relatives filed a complaint with a missing person at Mulki police. The area was explored by a dog group and a forensic team.
The police registered the murder case after several cut brands were reportedly found on the Sheriff’s body. The body was moved to the Kannur Hospital Government Medical College Hospital to Post-Mortem.
