Shivamogg police arrested 13 people in connection with the robbery reported to Uttaradi Mutt in the village of Mahishi in Tirthahalli Talli.
A group of 15 people reportedly ran with 50,000 GBP in cash and other valuable valuable after the priest and others’ attack on Mutt 5 April.
Shivamogga Superintendent of Police GK Mithun Kumar said at a press conference on Friday that the group entered Mutt 5 April around 21:45 and attacked Kumar Achary, priest and manager Mutt and more. The accusations had the impression that there was a huge cash on Mutt. They attacked employees and robbed their mobile phones and a laptop belonging to Mutt. They also damaged CCTV cameras and decorated the digital video recorder.
Police Malur registered this case. Durne investigations successfully arrested Suresh, Sathish, Pruthviraj, Sricant, Abhilash, Bharat, Pavan, Ramesh, Naveen, Darshan and Caribasappa.
In addition, the police also took Srinivas, other accused, to custody after shooting at him near Shikaripur 10. April, when he allegedly tried to escape after attacking a police officer.
Police are making efforts to arrest those who are still running. They confiscated travelers at a pace, car and deadly weapons that the accused used to commit a crime.
