Ahead of a crucial vote on amendments to the Women’s Reservation Bill, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (April 17, 2026) urged all Lok Sabha MPs to vote in favor of the bill.
In his post X, Mr. Modi appealed: “Please consider your conscience and remember the women in your families. Legislation to ensure the exclusivity of women in legislatures is a significant opportunity to do justice to the women of our nation.”
