Punjab Kings and Mumbai Indians are the two out-of-form teams in the IPL at the moment and they will come to Dharamsala hoping to put up a scintillating game. The match has more significance for PBKS, who are currently fighting for a win.
PBKS vs MI: Preview
Punjab looked like the team to beat a few weeks back and since then the narrative has completely turned on its head. After winning six of their first seven games to go undefeated, PBKS lost their last four games and the team management was sweating. Plus, the noise outside hasn’t helped them at all and morale seems to be at a low ebb.
The season is over for Mumbai and they were eliminated after losing to RCB in their last match. For the five-time champions, it’s all about playing for pride and building towards the new season. They will be without Hardik Pandyawho seems to be working at full fitness.
The stakes will be high for the home side in this match as they cannot afford another loss. So will the weather in Dharamsala spoil it?
PBKS vs MI: DHARAMSALA WEATHER REPORT
Our man Akshay Ramesh was present in Dharamsala to watch both teams practice and deliver a few keynotes ahead of the match. Unfortunately, the weather on the eve of the game was not kind to anyone at the HPCA Stadium as everyone was forced to take cover and the teams had barely 15 minutes to practice.
According to the India Meteorological Department, thunderstorms accompanied by rain are expected in Dharamsala on the day of the match. However, the chance of showers during the evening remains fairly low, with only a small chance of interruption at game time.
Unlike several parts of the country that are currently experiencing intense heat, Dharamsala is expected to offer much cooler conditions due to its hill station climate. Temperatures are likely to hover around 17C during the match, setting up a pleasant evening with cloudy skies. Although brief showers cannot be ruled out, current forecasts indicate that the weather should not significantly affect the match.
