Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan visited Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Nanded along with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday and paid homage to Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh on the occasion of his 350th martyrdom day.
Vijay Satpal Singh, chairman of the gurdwara, welcomed Mr. Kalyan and Mr. Fadnavis and honored them by tying traditional Sikh turbans.
Mr. Pawan Kalyan later entered the gurdwara along with the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, offered prayers to Guru Gobind Singh in the main hall and presented the sacred chadar.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Kalyan said that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Singh inspired the entire nation and that his supreme sacrifice would continue to guide and inspire generations. He said it was a great honor to participate in the legendary Guru’s Shaheedi Samagam.
