Palaniswami presides over a meeting of AIADMK district secretaries in Chennai

AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K. Palaniswami presided over a meeting of the party’s district unit secretaries at its headquarters in Chennai on Sunday. Apart from Mr. Palaniswami, senior Tamil leaders Magan Hussain, KP Munusamy and Dindigul C. Sreenivasan attended the meeting.

Former minister D Jayakumar, RB Udhayakumar, Agri SS Krishnamurthy, KC Karuppannan, KT Rajenthra Bhalaji and OS Manian were among those who attended.

Asked if he expected anything from Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s address at the rally scheduled for Monday, AIADMK functionary and former Minister Sellur K. Raju said the Chief Minister would speak after the exam. “He (Mr. Vijay) will come after the rehearsal. He will come as if he is coming to a (film) shoot. He will memorize and deliver the punch lines, but people are worried about rising prices of basic commodities, be it onion, oil or rice,” he added.
