
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) performed a massive search operation in 15 locations across eight states on Saturday in connection with the case of spying bound to Pakistan.
According to the intelligence agency, the search was carried out on the area of suspected associated with Pakistani intelligence (PIO) in Delhi, Maharashtra (Mumbai), Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Assam and West Bengal.
During the search, the NIA teams reportedly confiscated several electronic gadgets and sensitive financial documents along with other accusing materials.
“They are extensively examined on traces as a spy rocket is managed by Pakistani workers in an anti -Indian conspiracy,” the report added.
The NIA investigation revealed that suspects on search allegedly had a connection with Pakistani workers and acted as a financial leadership to perform spy activities in India.
The search was followed by a recent arrest of the soldier of the Police Force Central Reserve (CRPF) for Spy for Pakistan, officials told PTI.
NIA registered the case of May 20 after the arrest of the suspended assistant of the auxiliary inspector (probably) CRPF, Moti RAM JAT, who allegedly shared sensitive information with PIOS since 2023 and received funds in India based on the leak of stored information related to national security.
He was released from CRPF, PTI informed.
The Agency Agency continues its investigation in this case, registered in various parts of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Act on Official Secrets and the Act on Unlawful Activities (Prevention), the statement said.
