Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to organize the upcoming CII-2025 partnership summit in Visakhapatnam in line with the World Economic Forum (WEF) summit in Davos.
Plenary and breakout sessions should prioritize knowledge sharing, Mr. Naidu said at a review meeting on the mega event to be held in the Port City on November 14 and 15.
The chief minister suggested that the focus should be on positive policy making and focus on artificial intelligence, semiconductors, health, innovation, research and development, space, drones, electronics and medical technology.
Discussions should also cover smart manufacturing, logistics, connectivity, inland waterways, warehousing, cold storage, agritech, value addition to rare earth minerals and the P-4 initiative.
Mr. Naidu said Visakhapatnam is poised to become a global city with the establishment of a Google AI data center.
Many companies prefer to invest in and around the Port City and the opportunities should not be missed, he urged the officials.
“Skill development and human resources must be prioritized,” Mr. Naidu said, adding that officials should emphasize economic corridors, industrial clusters, Amaravati capital, water security, futuristic workforce and technology-based good governance.
CII Director General Chandrajit Banerjee participated virtually in the debate. Industries Minister TG Bharat and Secretary (Industries) N. Yuvaraj were present.
