One girl died and another sustained serious injuries after she fell from the Maruthimala Hills in Muttara, Kollam on Friday. The victims, both students of Class IX from Adoor, were found lying on the ground around 6:30 p.m
The deceased was identified as Meenu, a native of Peringanad in Adoor. Her friend Shivarna, who sustained serious injuries, was taken to hospital.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
