“No player has been fined but yes, the board is thinking of working out a formula for the players as they get a lot of incentives when they perform well,” Mir told reporters here.Mir added that Pakistan players currently earn close to PKR 6-7 million each and the board is exploring ways to better link accountability with performance.“But nothing is final and no player has been fined,” he added. Some reports claimed that each Pakistani player was fined PKR five million after the team exited the global event without reaching the last four.Pakistani cricketers are given central contracts that include monthly advances along with match fees, tour payments and bonuses for wins in various formats. In addition to these earnings, players will also receive a share of logo sponsorship deals secured by the board. It was also agreed last year that the players would receive a three per cent share of the annual revenue the PCB gets from the International Cricket Council, which is estimated at nearly US$34 million a year.
