Pune, June 24 (PTI) as a result of several helicopter accidents on Char Dham Yatra this year, Minister of Civil Aviation to Rammohan Naid on Tuesday claimed there should be no compromise in the area of safety and stated that they were looking for innovative solutions for better security measures.
Naida said they observed that the pilots were difficult to take off and land their aircraft during sudden changes in the weather, and therefore focus on better technology and better operation control.
The helicopter or emergency landing accident occurred an alarming frequency on the Char Dham Yatra route in Uttarakhand, causing concern between people and administration.
On June 15, Aryan Aviation PVT Ltd Chopper, who returns from Kedarnath near Guptkashi, killed all seven people.
It was a fifth incident involving a helicopter on a pilgrimage route this year.
Naudda asked Char Dham Yatra’s security measure after the helicopter accident, and said that security and security were the primary basis of Indian civil aviation and added that “security was considered the highest priority”.
“There should be no compromise in the security aspect. We want to increase the safety even more for Char Dham Yatra. We are looking for increased supervision. We create more systems,” he said.
“Because it is a hilly area, air traffic management is demanding because there is no signal. That’s why we are looking for an innovative solution to have better air traffic control,” he told reporters on the edge of helicopters and the Small Aircraft Summit 2025.
The Minister said he was also working to better process the weather data.
“We found that the weather suddenly changed and the pilots are difficult to take off and land at the time. Our move will have better technology and bring better traffic control,” he said.
In the next two to three months, civil aviation (ministry) will bring a better solution, the minister said.
“We will come up with new things by September,” he added.
