Before the elections from the State Assembly on Sunday (July 13, 2025), the chairman of the Bihar Nitish Kumar promised to provide jobs and job opportunities in five years (2025–2030).
The announcement on the X -Social Media platform claimed that more than eight lakh youth was provided in the state in 2005 to 2020.
“In the next five years (2025 to 2030), we set a goal to double the goal by providing government jobs and job opportunities for one youth. New jobs and job opportunities will be created in the private sector, especially in industrial areas,” Mr. Kumar said.

He also said: “For this purpose, a high -level committee is set up. Currently, the Saat Nischay program (seven resolution) will be provided to the development of skills to combine with the possibility of self -employment.”
“University for Skill Development”
The Chief Minister also said that the university will be established for the development of skills, which will be appointed Jananayak Karpori Thakur Skill University in honor of Bihar’s pride so that the state of the state can find a new direction in the development of skills.
The icon of the extremely back -class (EBC), Mr. Thakur won 26 January 2024 posthumously the highest Indian civil honor Bharat Ratna.
Mr. Kumar added that from the beginning it is a vision of his government to ensure that more and more youth in the state receive government jobs and job opportunities.
“In order to speed up the pace of providing government jobs and employment to the youth of the state, in 2020, as part of the Good Public Affairs Program, Saat Nischay-2 was launched, according to which we decided to provide government jobs with 10 Lakh youth and employment,” Kumar said.
He said that the goal was later increased to provide government jobs for 12 lakh youth and 38 lakh’s jobs by August 2025, setting a total goal of 50 LakH jobs/job opportunities.
“I am pleased that I can share that more than 10 lakh young people have been provided in the state in government jobs and approximately 39 lakhs have been given employment and the goal of providing government jobs/employment will certainly be achieved,” Kumar said.
