Sarpanches and Ward Members elected in the recently held Telangana Gram Panchayat Elections-2025 assumed office on Monday (December 22). While 12,728 Gram Panchayats and 1,12,382 Wards were notified for elections, polls were held for 11,497 Sarpanches and 85,955 Ward members in three phases as 1,205 Sarpanches and 25,848 Ward members were elected unanimously. Nominations were either not accepted or elections were left in several others.
Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Dansari Seethakka congratulated the elected representatives. She suggested that they should be leaders who understand people’s problems and work to solve them. Villages are the basis of the development of the state. Progress in rural areas can be achieved if Sarpanches and corps members work together.
