Videos circulating on social media showed youth with brooms and waste bags in the hands of sweeping sidewalks and collecting remnants through the Nepalese capital.

The video showed a group of young Nepalis cleaning street in Kathmandu, while another video showed volunteers to repair sidewalks.

According to media reports quoting organizers, cleaning was focused on proving civil responsibility and signaling that their movement was related to the rebuilding of protest.
In the recent protest of the “Gen Z”, at least 51 people were killed, who broke out across Nepal against corruption and ban on social media pages.
Almost 1700 people suffered injuries during protests. About 1,000 houses returned after healing.
Senior superintendent police Ramesh Thap, who is a collaborator for the Nepalese police, said the victims include one Indian national, three police officers and other Nepalese citizens, Kathmandu reported.
At least 36 bodies are in the University University University Hospital, Maharajgunj, where it began on Friday with postmort.
The protests began on September 8, 2025 in Kathmandu and other capitals, including Pokhar, Butwal and Birgunj, after a government imposition of the ban on the main social media platforms and quoted tax revenue and cyber security.

The protesters demanded the termination of “institutionalized corruption and protectionism” in administration. They want the government to be more responsible and transparent in its decision -making processes.
