Religious enthusiasm meant the “ankurpanam” festival on the temple of Lord Venkateswar in Tirumale. The festival is observed as a prelude to all the main events performed inside the temple, including annual brahmotsavam.
Lord Vishwaksen, equipped with “Gada”, “Khadga”, “Sankhu” and “chakra”, bypassed the passage of the temple city. During his rounds, the Lord also gathered “putta Mann” – a sacred country that is used in “Yagasala” inside the temple.
Special rituals were observed on Yagasale, followed by the solemn sowing “Navadhanyams” in clay pots for germination.
Chairman of TTD Br Naida, Executive Director of Anil Kumar Singhal, other Executive Director of Ch. Members of the Board of Directors of Venkaiah Chowdary and Trust were also present.
