Narayani Hospital celebrates World Heart Day in Vellore

Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Center (SNRC) launched a state-of-the-art heart and lung machine at its premises in Vellore as part of World Heart Day celebrations.

According to a press release, the ₹3 crore machine was introduced as part of his efforts to strengthen the advanced cardiac surgical care facility at the centre. Lynn Schneider, Founder, Lynn Schneider Foundation, New York inaugurated the facility in the presence of Professor N. Balaji, Director and Trustee, Sri Narayani Group of Institutions.

As part of the programme, National Voluntary Blood Donation Day was also held at Sri Narayani Blood Centre. Volunteers, staff and students from various colleges participated in the blood donation drive, demonstrating the spirit of voluntary service and social responsibility, the report said.
