
Mumbai Metro Line-3: The Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the final phase of the Mumbai Metro line on Wednesday 8 October 2025, also known as Aqua Line. Metro line is the first fully underground metro corridor in Mumbai.
With the opening of the section 10.99 km phase 2b, from Acharya Atre Chowk to the Cuffe show, the underground metro corridor covers a total distance of 33.5 km and has 27 stations.
The Prime Minister launched the last phase of the metro corridor practically from Navi Mumbai, where he also opened the International Airport Navi Mumbai.
Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) announced that personal services throughout the underground corridor between Cuffe Parade and Aarey JVLR will begin from October 9.
“The 2B Bombi Metro-3 metro line is a significant improvement in Mumbai infrastructure. Metro connection is necessary for the growth of the city. This project will have a positive impact on the lives of people from Bombai,” Modi wrote shortly before the ceremony ceremony.

The daily rider was screened at about 13 passengers of Lakh.
It is expected that the travel time from Cuffe to Aarey will take approximately 54 minutes.
List 27 stations on the Mumboi Metro-3 line
The first fully underground line Mumbai has 26 underground stations and one station at the level (Aarey JVLR).
Phase 1 – Aarey JVLR, Seepz, Midc – Andheri, Marol Naka, Sahar Road, CHHhatApati Shivaji Mahara International Airport – T2, Santacruz Metro, Bandra Colony, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC)
Phase 2 – Bandra Kurla Complex, Dharavi, Shitala Devi Mandir, Dadar, Shree Siddhivinyak Temple, Worli, Acharya Atre Chowk
Phase 2b – Acharya ate chowk, scientific museum (nezru Science Center), Mahalaxmi, Mumbai Central, Grant Road, Girgaon, Kalbadevi, CSMT Metro (Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus), Huttatma Chowk, Churchgate, Vidhan Bhavan
Timing: The first service from Aarey JVLR and Cuffe Parade will start at 5.55 hours, while the last train will leave at 22:30 from both directions and reaches terminal stations within 11.25 hours.
