
Delhi weather: Intense dust storms swept through Delhi-NCR on Wednesday evening, followed by heavy showers and hail, causing significant disruption of flight operations at Indra Gandhi (Igia).
According to the Hindustan Times report, at least 10 flights were diverted – mostly to Jaipur, with one redirected to Mumbai – and more than 50 years faced a delay between 19:45 and 20:45.

Sudden heavy weather was attributed to strong wind cut and heavy rain that affected take -off and landing.

Delhi Airport and the main carriers such as Air India and Indigo have published advice that urged passengers to check their flight before traveling to the airport. “Many domestic and international flights to Delhi Airport from different airports were stopped or diverted due to weather conditions,” Delhi airport sources quoted.

Air India tweeted: “Rain and thunderstorms can disrupt the Delhi flights tonight, while Dilli Airport assured that teams on Earth work hard to maintain a smooth passenger experience despite unfavorable conditions.
Indigo also emphasized the impact of heavy rains and thunderstorms sweeping through Delhi, Chandigarh and Kolkata and advised passengers to allow more time to commute for crease and slowly moving traffic.
One year of Indigo from Delhi to Srinagar met with sudden hail in the middle of the flight, but landed safely after established protocols. The airline confirmed that the aircraft will undergo the necessary inspections before returning to operation and passengers were preferred on arrival.

IMD DELHI: Causes of weather change
After suffering from prolonged thermal waves, Delhi and surrounding regions, the weather was dramatic on Wednesday evening. While dust storms, hail and heavy rain disrupted flights and road transport, they also brought a much needed rest of intensive summer heat.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) explained that the cloud mass entered the northern dilli and moved to the south-east, which triggered a dust storm accompanied by strong winds blowing at 50-60 km/h, throwing up to 70 km/h, along with a slight collision.
In Palam, the temperature decreased sharply from 37 ° C at 19:30 to 23 ° C to 20:30, which offers a relief of heat burning, where temperatures rose above 40 ° C and the temperature “feels” touched in the middle of 50.2 ° C.
The winds loaded with dust reduced visibility in parts of Delhi-NCR, affected road traffic and caused some disturbances. Strong rain and thunderstorms also spread to parts of Haryan’s carnal district.

IMD predicts very strong rainfall that will continue after Gujarate, Konkan, Goa, Karnataka and Keraral for another six to seven days.
The low-pressure area is expected to form above the eastern Middle Arab sea near the north coast of Karnataka-Goa, which is likely to intensify into depression within 36 hours.
