The day after two students disappeared into the Meenachil River, the body of one of them was restored on Sunday evening.
The authorities confirmed that the body of Albin Joseph, a native of Mundakkayam, was found near Ambalakkadava Ghat near Bharananganam. Although the rescue teams searched this area, which is just 200 meters from where the students disappeared, efforts could not find the body.
Meanwhile, the search for a second student, Amal K. Joseph, continued all day, albeit without success.
Two students who participated in the German language training at the private institute in Bharananganama took a bath in a river in the river near the Villangupar bridge on Saturday. Were reportedly caught in strong currents while in the water.
