The Minister of the BC Janardhan Reddy on Friday ordered officials to speed up the construction of roads in Chittoor, Palamaner and Madanapalle divisions on Friday. The Minister’s Road Development Review has stressed that the projects sanctioned according to various programs must be completed within six months. He ordered officials to immediately initiate the selection process.
Janardhan Reddy, emphasized the need for an improved international connectivity with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, that the state government continues to prefer road infrastructure. He stated that the proposals would soon be submitted to the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and asked officials to prepare detailed project messages (DPR).
Officials of the Department of Roads and Buildings informed the minister that the initiative without potholes was completed 100% in the former Chittoor district. Mr. Janardhan Reddy warned the suppliers of unauthorized delay in implementation and urged the strict observance of the time axes.
The Minister repeated the importance of quality and transparency in all road work and ordered officials to ensure that there was no compromise in both aspects.
