
New Delhi: Minister of Ports, Transport and Waterways Sarbanand Sonowal on Friday reviewed key naval projects and ordered officials to ensure that business remains as usual. He also reviewed the measures taken to ensure the smooth movement of the load.
The key Indian ports near the Indian-Pakistan naval border include Kandla, Mundra and Hazira in Gujarat. All these ports are in high readiness and have increased security.
The organization under the Ministry, including the shipping company India, Jawaharlal Nezru Port Authority, Indian Port Rail and Ropeway Corporation LTD, Indian Port Global LTD, General Directorate for Transport and Mumbai Port, took part in an official statement.

“Given the prevailing situation, the Minister of Trade Union has evaluated as key maritime projects and ordered officials to ensure that business remains as usual. Sonowal also reviewed measures to be taken to ensure smooth and normal cost operations,” the statement said.
The review comes in the middle of the escalating air activity and attempting to attack and shelling missiles in Pakistan.
Sonowal also reviewed contemporary operations, fleet enlargement and long -term expansion strategy in accordance with the vision of government 2047.
The review of the Greenfield Mega Port in Vadhavan took place with the chairman of the Authority port Jawaharal Nezru Unhesh Wagh and higher officials. The Minister emphasized the need to quickly monitor the development of the port.

The Minister also met the chairman of the India Ports Global Ltd Sunil Mukundan to assess the company’s global performance. Discussions included progress and future plans for the port of Chabahar in Iran and Sittwe Port in Myanmar, projects aimed at expanding the Indian naval trail at the international level.
