Minister of Higher Education R. Bindu rejected concerns about employment capacity who decided to leave the four -year university program (FYUGP) after three years.
When he answered the questions raised in the Keral Assembly on Monday (September 29, 2025), Dr. Bindu explained that such titles would be considered valid for all purposes where regular levels are required, including the Keral Public Service (PSC), and for admission to courses, including Bed and LLB. Students who complete for three years and receive 133 credits will receive a title, she said.
She responded to the concerns raised by Jaleel, Mla, and about the uncertainty surrounding the validity of a three -year title for competing tests.
Dr. Bindu informed the house that any necessary changes in policy regarding PSC and other tests would be carried out at the right time. The first dose of FYUGP is only in the second year, she emphasized.
The Minister added that the University of State adopted a unified academic calendar, which proved to be effective in streamlining academic and extracurricular activities in educational institutions throughout the state. “There was no compromise in the early examinations or disclosure of results. In fact, the university has released results over the last two years,” Dr. Bindu.
