
Minister of Higher Education, R. Bindu, described the Supreme Court’s decision to dismiss the action for the enforcement of national educational policy (NEP), including the governments of Tamil Nadu, Keral and West Bengal.
Mrs. Binda, who dealt with press meetings on Monday (May 12, 2025), said that NEP and recent UGC regulations interfered with the rights of states and were against the federal principles. They were against the constitutional provisions and caused many difficulties for states. The protest against this development was ubiquitous. The judgment of the Top Court is in accordance with the basic principles of the Constitution, she said.
Mrs. Binda said that the Chief Minister of Pinaraya Vijayan will be inaugurated by the scientific center to be the first phase of the proposed scientific city, in Kuravilangad Gram Panchayat in Kottayam 29 May. Science Center, extended by 47 147 square feet.
The scientific city is designed on 30 acres within the Ministry of University Ministry of Kerala State Science and Technology Museum. It includes a planetarium, a simulator of movement, augmented reality, virtual reality theaters, a music fountain, light and sound programs, a star for star, gardens, visitors and related infrastructure facilities.
Mrs. Binda said the government had already spent 50 GBP Crore on the project. The second phase of CRORE 45 GBP was developed. It seeks to set up a biodiversity park on the Science City premises in cooperation with the Uzhavor Block, Panchayat, Kuravilangad Panchayat and Mahatma Gandhi by the National Employment Warranty Scheme.
