The Indian EU Muslim League (IUML) plans to organize protest meetings outside the government medical university hospital (MCH), Kozhikode, claims that the state government destroys the public health institution to help “private hospital lobby”.
The President of the Iuml Ma Razak and the Secretary General of TT Ismail, who addressed here on Monday, claimed that corruption was growing there. Along with patients and their caregivers, the hospital staff was also affected by a crisis that suffered from the hospital, they said. Sunbathing by fire, lack of doctors and nurses and drug shortages were some of the main problems. They demanded that the government take immediate steps to solve problems.
Mr. Razak and Mr. Ismail claimed that there were two focal fireplaces in the block, which was placed by an accident section that was built under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Surraksha Yojana (PMSSY) using Crore Central Funds 195. However, the investigation of these incidents was an attempt to deceive people, they said.
They pointed out that thousands of patients were waiting for the operation plan due to lack of doctors in the anesthesia department. This was the result of the transfer of a number of doctors to other hospitals for the Faculty of Medicine for the Inspection of the National Medical Commission. There was also a lack of doctors at the Department of Dermatology and Forensic Medicine and the delayed Post mortem test was delayed. PMA Salam, General Secretary of the State Iuml, opened a protest meeting on Tuesday at 10 am, they added.
Meanwhile, she said on Monday that the district collector Snehil Kumar Singh organized a meeting with the hospital authorities. According to sources, there is no final word when opening the PMssy block, which was temporarily closed in May after focal fires.
